Article I: Purpose

Section 1. Christian Paintballers will be an organization of paintballers wishing to excel in the sport of paintball, while growing and serving the Lord our God. Our ultimate goal is to see all of its members deepening their walk with God and to reach out to non-members to do the same.

Section 2. Christian Paintballers’ mission statement will be as follows: “To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by having a Christ like attitude while engaging in the sport of paintball.”

Clause 1: Our key verse will be Psalm 144:1 “Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.”

Clause 2: We shall interpret this verse in both a spiritual and paintball sense.

 

Article II: Belief Statement

Section 1. The following statements are what we as Christian Paintballers believe:

Clause 1: We believe that the Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God, the words of God Himself, and is without error. *2 Timothy 3:16

Clause 2: We believe that there is only one true God. We believe that Jesus is God’s only Son. We, also, believe in the trinity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. *John 3:16

Clause 3: We believe that humans were created by God and that they are special and wonderfully made. *Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:14

Clause 4: We believe that all humans have sinned. God provided his Son, Jesus, to bridge that gap between God and humans and that our sins are forgiven through Jesus’ death once we ask for forgiveness. *1 John 1:9, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Clause 5: We believe that there is a heaven and hell. Those who have asked Jesus into their heart, accepted Him as their Lord and Savior, will go to heaven. Consequently those who have rejected God and Jesus will go to hell. *John 14:6

Clause 6: The “ABC’s of Salvation”
Admit that you are a sinner…
Believe (acknowledging all He said and all that He is to be true) on the Lord Jesus Christ…
Confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart.

 

Article III: Organization

Section 1. Christian Paintballers will be made up of local chapters.

Clause 1: Once a chapter has been granted a charter, it shall operate under a provision liscence for one year. During this time, it may not vote for constitutional amendments or for the granting of charters. Once this year has passed, the chapter will receive these powers.

Section 2. Christian Paintballers will be organized in ranks similar to the United States Army. They will be as follows (in ranks from lowest to highest): Private, Private 1st Class, Corporal, Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, and General. Ranks including Private to Sergeant Major will be classified as soldiers. Ranks above Sergeant Major will be classified as officers.

Clause 1: Each rank above corporal will have a certain job to do, that will help Christian Paintballers. The Lieutenant(s) of a chapter will oversee promoting ranks from Private to Sergeant Major. The Colonel(s) will oversee promoting ranks Lieutenant on up.

Clause 2: Duties will be assigned to each rank and will be expected to be upheld by the person with the rank in question. Anyone unwilling to serve the duty of a rank should step down or demoted.

Clause 3: The rank duties will be as follows:
• Private – Basic member. A person at this rank may only rise to Private 1st Class.
• Private, 1st Class – This member has proven to be committed to CP through at least 2 months of consistent involvement and at least 4 hours of service with CP as a Pvt. The two months of consistent involvement can be wavered with an additional 6 hours of service onto the required 4 hours. A person at this rank may only rise to Corporal.
• Corporal – This member has proven to be committed to CP through at least 2 months of consistent involvement and at least 4 hours of service with CP as a Private 1st Class. The two months of consistent involvement can be wavered with an additional 6 hours of service onto the required 4 hours.
• Sergeant – Primary objective is to assist the Captain during CP games and events. Secondary objective is to serve as a Sergeant Major’s Assistant.
• Sergeant Major – Primary objective is to help everyone with group/team tactics and skill. Secondary objective is to help everyone with individual skill.
• Lieutenant – Primary objective is to be aware of promotion opportunities for Enlisted Ranks (Private through Sergeant Major) and to move qualified members to those ranks. Secondary objective is to safeguard and improve internal relationships of all members.
• Captain – Primary objective is to safeguard and improve the external image of CP (including arranging tournaments). Secondary objective is to coordinate all CP official games (there should be at least two games each month).
• Major – Primary objective is to safeguard and improve spiritual relationships of all members.
• Colonel – Primary objective is to be aware of promotion opportunities for Officer Ranks (Lieutenant through Colonel) and to move qualified members to those ranks. Secondary objective is to serve as the General’s Assistant. Tertiary objective is to oversee the productivity of the Enlisted Ranks (Private through Sergeant Major).
• General – Primary objective is to protect the overall health and status of CP. Secondary objective is to oversee the productivity of the Officer Ranks (Lieutenant through Colonel).

Section 4. Each Christian Paintballers chapter will have the following officers: Treasurer and Secretary. They must be Christian Paintballers of high virtue, and will be chosen by the Chapter General and approved by a 2/3 vote of the Christian Paintballers and the President.

Section 5. The position of President Pro Tempore will be the governing head of Christian Paintballers. This person shall hold the power to oversee and direct chapter activities, as well as to revoke the charter of a chapter. This position shall be held until a formal President can be elected. Once there is a total of three chapters, operating under the full license, an election meeting should be held no later than four months. The President Pro Tempore can be removed by a 3/4 vote of the enlisted members and tried by the officers, with there being a 5/6 vote of the officers.

Article IV: Meetings/Games

Section 1. Meetings will be held at least once a month, either at a Christian Paintballers’ house or at a building like a church. At a meeting, the following things will happen: A prayer will begin each meeting, a time of Bible study and testimonies, a time of free discussion, a time to fix guns, a time of promotions, and a time of normal Christian Paintball business.

Section 2. Games will be held as often as the chapter can. Games should be held at least twice a month. Tournaments should be held once every 3 or 4 months. At a game, the charter will play as they wish.

Clause 1: A prayer will be prayed at the beginning of each game.

Clause 2: The following rules will be adhered to. 1. No cussing. 2. No unsportsmanlike conduct . Violations will result in the following: First offense- verbal warning by a CO. Second offense- banned from game. Third offense- banned from games/meetings until the offended can show that they have confessed their sins, and have changed. Offenses can be altered by officers or the Chapter General (ex: if someone does something outrageously bad, the first/second offense can be skipped). These rules will be followed at all Christian Paintballers sponsored games.

Section 3. Tournaments will be a fund-raising and fun activity for Christian Paintballers. They will be held as follows: Teams will be formed of about even numbers (as big or as small as numbers dictate) and each person from the team will be charged a (example) $5 entrance fee. ($3 for Christian Paintballers members.) Refreshments and snacks will be sold by Christian Paintballers for a small profit. The tournament games will be held under the direction of the chapter.

 

Article V: Law making/Ratification/Powers

Section 1. Laws of Christian Paintballers may be written at the national, state, and local levels. A 2/3 vote of soldiers and a 3/4 vote of officers must be in favor of this for the law to take into effect. The president or general of the chapter may veto a law, only to be overturned by a 9/10 vote of all members of the chapter.

Section 2. Local chapters have the freedom and power to do as they wish as long as it is not in violation of this constitution or the direction of the general.

Clause 1: This Bible is the highest law in Christian Paintballers, then the Constitution.

Section 3. As Christian Paintballers grow, this constitution may be amended to fit Christian Paintballers.

Clause 1: To amend the constitution, a 2/3 vote of soldiers and a 3/4 vote of officers must be received. The President may veto this only to be overturned by a 9/10 vote of all members.

 

Article VI: Dues

Section 1. The dues for Christian Paintballers can be found in the by-laws. These dues will go to pay for snacks/refreshments at meetings/games, extra C02 tanks, name tags, and stickers.

Clause 1: Each charter should purchase one small (9-12 oz) C02 tank to be used when someone runs out of air. There will be no charge for use of this.

Clause 2: Dues can be paid in increments if necessary, although membership is not official until the full amount is paid.

Clause 3: Charters can adjust the dues if necessary.
